The Passing of our Friend, Walter Woods
The Passing of our Friend, Walter Woods

We are very sorry to share news of the loss of a well respected leader, the Honorable Walter Woods, JD, on Friday, November 4, 2005.

Walter was a strong advocate for prostate cancer education for Native men as well as for men of all races. He and his loving wife, Rowlinda, are co-authors of the “Get on the Path to Prostate Health” curriculum. He now rests in the Black Hills Native American Cemetery.

Please pray for him and his family. We will miss his leadership and dedication to Native peoples. We will also miss his dry sense of humor right at a totally unexpected time. May the Creator bless all of his family members and loved ones.

Donations rather than flowers may be made in his name to the Native American Cancer Research MEMORIAL FUND. These donations will be limited to support Native American prostate cancer survivor patients and their loved ones during and following their cancer treatment experiences.
