The Center for American Indian Research and Education is pleased to announce a new scholarship program for American Indian nurses (RN) to obtain their masters in nursing degree (MS).
Scholarships are for up to $ 20,000 per year for full time students. They are funded by the Indian Health Service for students enrolled in a masters degree program in the following Study Areas:
- Nurse Anesthetist
- Public Health Nurse*
- Nurse Midwife*
- Other areas will be considered for funding
*These can be taken as a distance-learning Internet course
Scholarship recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student
and be a bachelors prepared Registered Nurse (RN).
The scholarship award consists of tuition, fees, and books. Monthly payments, in whole or part, for other expenses incurred in connection with such a program, includes room and board, and stipends for living expenses.
Application deadline: November 1, 2007
