Komen Walk 2011

Native American Cancer Research, Survivors Circle was represented at the 2011 Komen Walk/Run Race for A Cure. It was fun packed day.

Charlene volunteered her time to make beautiful NACR hair attachments for each participant and made an outstanding, awesome and unique NACR banner "Native American Cancer Research Survivor's Circle - We walk for our sisters and with our sisters in Unity".

We all worked together to attach the NACR banner to the back of Rosy's wheelchair.

Adele Arikawa, Channel 9 news anchor women is providing a pep talk as we begin our race.

This is a back shot picture of us walking with our NACR banner and hair clip. People were inspired to see us out there and many participants express thoughtful, kind words to us as we walked our 5 miles,
pushing Rosy all the way

Some of us stopped to take a picture in front of the Denver Bronco Stadium, crowds walking down the Colfax ramp.

We finished the race with two hours! We are all moving at a good pace.

We ended the morning at eating breakfast at Denny's Restaurant.
